We maintain legal and moral obligation to safeguard the lives and welfare of our staff and interests of customers who may be affected as a result of company activities. Our objective is to minimize the number of instances of occupational accidents, illness and death and ultimately to achieve an accident-free workplace. We provide and maintain a safe and healthy workplace for all workers (including contractors and volunteers) as well as clients, visitors and members of the public. Hazards and risks to health and safety will be eliminated or minimised, as low as is reasonably practicable. MANAGEMENT WILL: • We fully accept the obligation and responsibility to work safely at all cost, we ensure that the Health, Safety and Environment of all our people at work is promoted by doing all that which is reasonably applicable to prevent accident, injury and damage to health: including a commitment to continual improvement in HSE management and performance. • Ensure the business complies with all legislation relating to health and safety • Eliminate or minimise all workplace hazards and risks as far as is reasonably practicable • Provide information, instruction and training to enable all workers to work safely • Supervise workers to ensure work activities are performed safely • Consult with and involve workers on matters relating to health, safety and wellbeing • All employees are provided with properly fitted and effective Personal Protective Equipment, guide, and supervision necessary to protect them and achieve the stated objective. • Provide a suitable injury management and return to work program • It is the policy of UNITRONIX® to carry out its activities in such a manner that guarantees the health and safety of its workers and other Stakeholders, and facilitate them with adequate information, instruction, relevant training and supervision. WORKERS WILL: • Take reasonable care for their own health and safety • Comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves and others and damage to plant and equipment. • Participate in safety training • Report all known or observed hazards to their supervisor or manager • Use safety equipment and personal protective equipment as instructed • Wear personal protective equipment and clothing where necessary. • Comply with any directive given by management for health and safety. • Report all accidents and incident on the job immediately, no matter how trivial. Our goal is to provide a safe and healthy work environment that is free from workplace injury and illness. This will only be achieved through the participation, co-operation and commitment of everyone in the workplace. We seek the co-operation of all workers, customers and other persons. We encourage suggestions for realizing our health and safety objectives to create a safe working environment with zero accident rate. This policy applies to all business operations and functions, including those situations where workers are required to work off-site.
